The process of assisting our clients in meeting their recruitment needs usually begins with a face-to-face meeting where all the specifications of the position to be filled are clearly delineated. The search consultant will then begin his/her research, followed by the actual search and recruitment process.
When the search consultant is successful in recruiting a viable candidate (one who is qualified, interested, available, affordable, relocatable, and compatible), then the candidate will be presented to the client company. Assuming interest on the part of the client company, a phone conversation, or a face-to-face meeting will then be arranged by the search consultant. A full recruitment summary will be provided to the client company to serve as a basis for the interview. This summary will not only outline the experience and educational background of the candidate and his/her current salary, but will also include the recruiter's comments. Such comments will outline the candidate's apparent strengths, what his/her particular career objectives are, and what will be necessary in order to successfully attract the candidate to the opportunity.
Following the interview and assuming a mutuality of interest, the search consultant will take an active role in negotiating and presenting the complete package to the individual. The search consultant will continue to work with both the candidate and client company to minimize the chance of the candidate accepting another offer, and to make sure the logistics of any required relocation go smoothly.
